It is true that thinner wall tubing takes less force to bend but it is more difficult to keep from collapsing or kinking. This is why all of our die sets have a Minimum Wall Thickness rating for mild steel. Check the rating for your particular radius and make sure you are above that. Stainless steel can be even trickier to bend so you may need to step up even further on the Center-line-radius (CLR) to perform the bend successfully.
