Light gauge sheet metal is somewhat vague. Do you have a tested limitation for soft steel/aluminum for planishing?

Good point! This type of machine is usually used on 16 gauge steel or thinner for automotive applications. That being said there is no limitation necessarily as thicker materials will work in a planishing hammer, they just take longer to create shape as the hardness/thickness increases.
