The holes are through-holes meant to use with a bolt and nut. You would be able to drill your own holes for mounting a pedestal with an 8" pattern.
My stand is is drilled for an 8" mount. Are the mounting holes tapped or drilled through? Room for more at 8"? Versa-Mount Rolling Pedestal Base
