You can easily bend 14 gauge aluminum (.064) and 16 gauge steel (.0625) on the same machine. Any 16 gauge rated brake will handle both materials. Considerations in choosing the right Sheet Metal Brake would be: Width of material being bent and whether you need the capabilities of a Box & Pan Brake or just a Straight Brake. Press Brakes can be a good choice for production work and tooling can be purchased to do a variety of jobs. Press Brake capacities are calcuated by tonnage requirements.
