That shouldn't be a problem. You will want to use a tighter blade gap for 16 gauge material, typically around .005". See our Technical Resources tab for the Shear Tonnage and Blade Gap chart.
Will this notch 16 gauge 3inch X 1 inch angle iron ,taking the notch out of the 1 inch side ? Angle Notcher for Edwards 40, 50, 55, and 60 ton Ironworkers
