When aluminum pipe breaks it is usually more because of the material than the tool. This die should absolutely bend aluminum assuming you have the Edwards bender to put it in. Some alloys of aluminum aren't really bendable without cracking or breaking. Aluminum that is old could be brittle or work hardened as well.
