Depending on what material you are notching you would probably want a 40 ton ironworker with an open station with 4.5" of open height to cover most applications.

Question: What is the difference between the Sched 40 notching dies and other options? Also for stainless?
Answer: The notching dies are cut slightly differently to accommodate different wall thicknesses to ensure the proper fit. Stainless dies are hardened for longer service life.
