The head is .880" wide and too big to fit in the channel, BUT there is about .700" gap between the lower die and the head so your 1/2" deep channel should fit under the head and the punch would reach down inside.
Need to punch 11/32" hole in center of a 3/4" wide, 1/2" deep channel in Alum extrusion(0.08" thick)-Will Tool Fit? Roper Whitney XX Deep Throat Hand Punch Kit
Wondering if the tooling (head?) will fit inside the 3/4" wide (1/2" deep) channel?
