It really depends on the orientation of the notch and whether or not you can clamp the bend in the vise. If you are doing the same part repeatedly there are ways to build custom clamp blocks that could help. The best notcher we have for clamping in a bend is the TN-250 Hole saw notcher. The radial vise allows clamping nearly anywhere in a bend.
