Anything is possible with enough creativity, but the Multitool attachment is designed to work on bench grinders only. Chances are, your 1x42 sander motor does not have enough power to properly run a 4x48 belt.
I have a Craftsman 1x42 bench belt sander I want to convert to a 4x48 belt sander. Will this conversion kit work? Multitool 4 x 48 inch Belt Grinder Attachment
