Question: Will this work for Square Tubing?
Answer: These products are not ideal for square tubing. If you need to drill a hole in square material, either on the corner or on the flat, we would recommend one of the Big Gator Tools Drill Guides.
Question: I need to use a #7 drill bit to create a hole for a 1/4 standard tap..
Answer: You may be able to find a drill bushing for #7 from an industrial supplier or you can use the guide to pre-drill with the 3/16" bushing and then finish with your #7.
Question: Hello, I need to drill a hole of 4mm, is it possible? Can I buy it from Spain? Thanks
Answer: You would need to replace the drill bushing with the proper ID. You can certainly source this on your own. Also check out the Big Gator Metric Drill Guide.
Question: Will it handle 5/8" OD or do you have a different tool for that?
Answer: On its own, the Drill-Rite drill guide will clamp a minimum of 3/4" OD. You could possibly use a shim to get it to clamp smaller. The other option we have would be the Big Gator Tools drill guides.
