If you don't bolt it to the floor, you will need to provide some type of forward support to keep it from flipping on its face. For our demo machine, we actually bolted 1-1/2" square tubing to the base to make it stable without drilling. This would be at your own risk and not necessarily recommended by the manufacturer.
