Not at all, this bit will work great on hot-rolled steel.
Needing to place a small bevel on 1/4" thick Pickeled & Oiled HR steel. Is this material too hard for this tool? Metal Beveling Router Bit, 45 Degree
We are looking to place a micro-bevel on the inner and outer edges of 1/4" thick Pickled & Oiled Hot-Rolled steel plates. This is for a high school metal shop project where students will be fabricating 16" x 16" Pizza Steel baking plates. Will the Metal Beveling Router Bit handle this material without premature wear when used by students, or is P&O HR steel too hard for it?
